June 29, 2012 Wind Storm Response
On Friday, June 29, over 1 million people lost power and experienced damage to their homes due to high winds and tornado like conditions. LDR Ohio is responding by providing volunteers for debris removal, delivery of ice and water to shut-ins, and collecting donations of food and monetary donations to feed the thousands of people still without power. If your congregation is able to help collect food or monetary donations, email Mary at mwoodward@lssco.org or call Mary Woodward as soon as possible at 740-509-1132. We hope to send the semi to another state to pick up 40,000 pounds of food.
