Bea loves living at Applewood Place, one of 19 LSS affordable housing communities. For many seniors living on a fixed income, LSS affordable housing communities offer an opportunity to ease their financial worries.

Before moving into Applewood Place, Bea was living in a damp, cold apartment above a garage. Climbing the stairs to her apartment was difficult and keeping warm in the winter was a challenge.

The convenience and security of LSS affordable housing communities like Applewood Place allow Bea the independence to care for herself in a safe and caring environment.

LSS provides housing for more than 900 people who qualify based upon income and age or disability-related criteria. For many seniors living on a fixed income, LSS Affordable Housing Communities offer an opportunity to ease their financial worries. Residents agree that without LSS, they would probably be living in a costly and unsafe apartment. But most importantly, residents find dignity in the safe and caring environment of our communities.
