"I just wanted to express sincere gratitude for your willingness to help others less fortunate. We really appreciate your help. My family and I thank you all very much. God Bless you!"
T. Benbow and Family, Food Pantry Customer

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio (LSS) food pantries serve the community by providing food to individuals and families in need. Our customers are often no different from you or I. They are mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles, sisters and brothers. They are working adults who may have difficulty paying rent, utilities or other household expenses. They simply need assistance to make ends meet. Last year alone, LSS food pantries served 137,059 people! We are serving more people this year than during the same time last year. Our need is great and growing.

Food pantry customers are referred by FIRSTLINK -a nonprofit resource management agency in Central Ohio that provides referrals to people seeking an improvement in their quality of life. Customers receive a three-day supply of food for each family member in the household. Customers may use the pantry services three times per month at one of the Lutheran Social Service pantry locations.
If you or someone you know is in need of food, please call the "FIRSTLINK" food line at (614) 341-2282. You will be referred to a food pantry nearest your home. Identification is required when you arrive at the pantry for each person living at the address. The following identifications are required:
• Adult must have a picture ID along with proof of local address
• Child under the age of 17 must have ID
• Child under 1yr. must have a copy of birth certificate or nursery card
As food pantry volunteers, we are called to serve those in need and make a difference in the lives of others. In all LSS food pantries, our staff and volunteers show God's love and kindness by feeding those who are hungry.
