Food Pantries:

"I just wanted to express sincere gratitude for your willingness to help others less fortunate. We really appreciate your help. My family and I thank you all very much. God Bless you!"
T. Benbow and Family, Food Pantry Customer

LSS food pantries provide food to individuals and families in need. Our customers are often no different from you or I. They are working adults who may have difficulty paying rent, utilities or other household expenses. They simply need assistance to make ends meet. Last year alone, LSS food pantries served 148,546 people! We are serving more people this year than during the same time last year. Our need is great and growing.

To help combat that escalating need, LSS launched the mobile food pantry to assist people in southeast Ohio.  The donations-funded pantry visits Lawrence, Gallia, Meigs and Scioto counties each month and serves 150 qualifying families per trip.  Each client may use the pantry once per month and receives a three-day supply of food. As donations to the pantry increase, so will the locations visited.
