Dear Friends,

It is with mixed emotions I write this letter to inform you I have resigned my position as CEO of Lutheran Social Service of Central Ohio (LSS), effective July 2.  In every orientation session, I tell new staff I believe we are all called to this agency at this time of the agency’s life and at this time in our personal lives. With this in mind, I truly feel called to another journey and also feel it is an opportunity for the agency to call a new CEO. 

I want to assure you LSS is a strong, vibrant agency that remains focused on creating a better world by serving people in need.  We are serving more people in need than ever before and are healthier financially than we have been for many years.  After July 2, one of our dedicated board members, Nels Hendrickson, will serve as interim CEO while the Board of Directors works diligently to identify the best long-term replacement.

It is important for me at this time to express my thanks for your long-term and on-going support of LSS and its work.  Without your prayers and support, none of the ministries we accomplish together would be possible. 

Several people have asked what the future holds for me.  At this point, I will take a few weeks to relax and then restart my independent consulting practice that will allow me to continue to live in Columbus and be near my family.

Once again, thank you for the prayers and support you have offered to LSS over the past six years.  I wish you all the best for the future and hope our paths cross again soon.
