Southeast Ohio Ministries is now Outreach Ministries
As a result of our dedicated volunteers and donors, Lutheran Social Services’ Southeast Ohio Ministries program has expanded to new areas of Ohio. Our name may have changed, but our dedication to serving people in
need has remained the same.
Outreach Ministries is a program of Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio that provides spiritual, material and financial support for several Ohio counties. Outreach Ministries also coordinates servant events and promotes volunteerism. Information on each service is listed below:
Servant Events
"Learn Service For a Lifetime" In an effort to strengthen, and in some instances rebuild, communities, Outreach Ministries coordinates community outreach efforts, or servant events. Servant events promote community development by encouraging neighborhood service. They are also an encouragement to practice Christ's unconditional love, serve people in ways that enrich their lives, and share their faith in practical ways. Servant events have been recently organized for LSS congregations, and youth in church or school groups.
Community Partnerships
To ensure that all people experiencing a natural disaster receive assistance, LSS partners with Lutheran churches and other groups such as Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR). LDR, a cooperative effort of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, coordinates the flow of disaster response services to adequately respond to crisis situations.
